Hello folks Screen sharing adds a surprisingly significant CPU and GPU load, so out of the options discussed it is my least favorite. The smallest processing overhead solution (that is to say, zero extra load on the QLab Mac) is certainly adding an external video distribution amplifier of some kind, so if the amount of warping on your surface makes this a viable option, I would definitely recommend it. If that's not possible, mirroring your surface to Syphon and viewing it using Simple Client (or some other lightweight Syphon client) is the next best thing. QLab uses Syphon internally anyway; checking the box just exposes the Syphon server to other apps. That means the only overhead involved is whatever it takes to run the client app. Adding another screen to the surface is my third choice, since it requires using up a video output and however much GPU and VRAM it takes to drive that whole screen.
